Apax is proud to develop its team with the appointment of new Partners, Principals and Senior Associates.
Apax has named Bertrand Pivin as Managing Partner; named Gregory Salinger as Operating Partner, Digital & Sustainability; appointed Raphaël Delmarre as General Secretary; Annick Bitoun as Managing Director, Debt Capital Markets; promoted Louis Berg to Principal and Noémie Bristol-Courgeon, Martin Denais and Maxim Gobbers to Senior Associate.
1. Bertrand Pivin named Managing Partner of Apax
Bertrand Pivin joined Apax as a Partner in 1993. Now a Managing Partner, Bertrand is responsible for investments in the Services and Healthcare sectors. He supports AEB and Marlink.

Bertrand graduated from the École Polytechnique in 1983. He then obtained a Master’s degree in Technology and Telecommunications from Telecom ParisTech and worked for Alcatel as a project manager, first in France (1985-88) and then in the United States (1988-91). While in the US, he obtained an MBA from the prestigous Harvard Business School, before joining Apax in 1993.
2. Gregory Salinger named Operating Partner, Digital & Sustainability
Apax is proud to name Gregory Salinger as Operating Partner, Digital & Sustainability. In so doing, Apax is demonstrating its desire to go further in creating value, and to take up the challenges that digitalisation and corporate responsibility now represent.

Gregory will be in charge of deploying a system for value creation in these areas at Apax’s portfolio companies.
Gregory has worked in technology in general and digital technology in particular for more than 20 years as an entrepreneur (he founded Château Online and is CEO of Videdressing) and as an executive of major companies, such as France Telecom and Microsoft. He joined Apax in 2017 as Chief Digital Officer.
Gregory has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a BA from Swarthmore College.
3. Raphaël Delmarre appointed General Secretary of Apax and Manager of the Fund Administration team
Raphaël Delmarre joined the Development team at Apax in 2017 after working for EPF Partners from 1998. He holds a Master’s in Management Sciences as well as advanced level qualifications in Financial Management from the University of Paris-Dauphine.
Raphaël was appointed to replace Dominique Parent, who has retired.

4. Annick Bitoun promoted to Managing Director, Debt Capital Markets
Annick Bitoun joined Apax in September 2014 as Debt Director. She began her career at Crédit Lyonnais, then, after the merger with Crédit Agricole CIB, she became Director of the Leverage Finance France department. More recently, Annick worked for insolvency practitioners Valliot-Le Guernevé-Abitbol, where she managed the restructuring of companies in difficulty, listed and unlisted, via informal ad hoc mandate and conciliation procedures. She is a graduate of the University of Paris-Dauphine.

5. Several promotions in the Apax MidMarket investment team
Louis Berg named Principal. Louis joined the Services and Healthcare team at Apax in 2018. He began his career in 2014 as an Analyst, then as a Partner in the Investment Banking division of JP Morgan in Paris, where he was a member of the team responsible for major French groups and handled various types of M&A, LBO and IPO transactions. Louis is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and the London School of Economics.

Noémie Bristol-Courgeon, Martin Denais and Maxim Gobbers named Senior Associates.



- Noémie joined the Consumer team at Apax in 2018. She began her career in 2015 at Arthur D. Little as a Business Analyst then as a Consultant in London, where she took part in numerous Strategy, Business Development and Digital Transformation assignments, in particular in the technology, telecommunications and healthcare sectors. Noémie is a graduate of Telecom ParisTech and of the London School of Economics.
- Martin joined to the Services and Healthcare team at Apax in 2019. He began his career in 2017 as an Analyst in the Investment Banking division of Goldman Sachs in London, where he worked on the Consumer Retail & Healthcare team and handled various types of M&A, LBO and IPO transactions. Martin is a graduate of Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and of the London School of Economics.
- Maxim joined the Services and Healthcare team at Apax in 2019. He began his career in 2017 at ABN AMRO as an Analystin the Investment Banking division, where he focused essentially on large, industrial and service groups based in the Benelux countries. Maxim has handled various types of M&A and LBO transactions. He is a graduate of Audencia Nantes and Vlerick Business School.
