Stanislas Panhard, new Partner within the Apax Development team

Paris, 20 October 2022 – Apax, a leading European private equity firm, announces the arrival of Stanislas Panhard as Partner within the Apax Development team. He will be more particularly responsible for investments in Services, Healthcare and Consumer sectors.

Stanislas Panhard joins the partner team of Apax Development, Apax’s Small Cap activity, co-headed by Caroline Rémus and Isabelle Hermetet. The team is now made up of four partners, and a total of 12 investment professionals.

Stanislas Panhard, 43, holds a Master’s 225 diploma from Dauphine University and an MBA from Insead. He has around 20 years experience, about half of which is in private equity.


Stanislas began his career in M&A at Goldman Sachs before gaining significant experience in investment and development, first within the Wendel investment firm, then through corporate development and management positions in the retail sector, at Carrefour and Fnac, and then at Bpifrance, where he was a member of the management committee of the Capital Development team in charge of investments in partnership with sovereign funds, before recently co-developing an independent private equity firm targeting private investors.  

Stanislas has carried out around 15 investments, notably in education, healthcare and services sectors.

Note that Apax launches the fundraising of Apax Development Fund II (ADF II)* for a target amount of €350 million to institutional investors but also to private investors, via a dedicated feeder fund accessible from €100,000**. Future investments in this new fund will also be accessible via the Apax Private Equity Opportunities (APEO)* FPCR fund, dedicated to French life insurance contracts.

ADF II will invest in investment tickets of between 15 and 75 million euros for mainly majority shareholdings in SMEs based in France, the Benelux and Switzerland, in Apax’s four specialist sectors: Tech & Telecom, Services, Healthcare and Consumer Goods.

* Investments in the Apax Development Fund II FPCI and in the Apax Private Equity Opportunities FCPR represent capital risk and liquidity risk.
