Paris, 12 december 2023 – Infraneo completes its first acquisition since Seven2 became majority shareholder and strengthens its expertise in the Energy sector.
Infraneo is a specialist in ground and structural engineering, operating in France, Germany, Belgium and Spain. In just a few years, the company has become a major player in infrastructure asset integrity.
Technipipe, based in Pennes Mirabeau (Bouches-du-Rhône, South of France) and founded in 1990, is a company specialising in services for pipeline and industrial unit operators. Its activities revolve around several complementary business lines, allowing the company to offer its clients its expertise in the monitoring, maintenance and integrity assessment of industrial facilities.
Technipipe offers the full range of monitoring, maintenance, control, inspection, and repair services that arise from the application of the decree governing pipeline operation in France (Multi fluide – March 5, 2014). The company employs 70 people in 4 agencies: Marseille, Lyon, Paris and Le Havre. In 2022, Technipipe’s turnover exceeded 8 million euros.
With the support of Seven2, Infraneo’s ambition is to create an Energy vertical in infrastructure integrity for the fluids transport sector in France and in Europe. Technipipe and its management team will enable the group to accelerate the implementation of this plan.
This acquisition follows Infraneo’s first acquisition in the Energy transport sector in 2021. At that time, Infraneo acquired Martin GmbH in Germany, a 50-people company specializing in cathodic protection for the oil and gas transport sector.
« With this merger, we are realising a shared vision with Infraneo’s teams on the growing importance of asset integrity for infrastructures and energy transport systems in France and Europe. We will be able to accelerate our development by leveraging Infraneo’s network in France and Belgium. In 2023, we have already started building a close technical relationship with Martin GmbH, their German subsidiary, which complements our expertise in cathodic protection. » says Christian Clouet, President of Technipipe.
« We’re delighted to be joining forces with Technipipe. On the one hand, it enables us to strengthen our presence in the PACA region, and above all to accelerate the creation of our Energy vertical in France. Technipipe teams share our vision of the importance of asset integrity for gas and petroleum transport infrastructures. Infraneo will be able to rely on Technipipe’s technical skills and teams to develop services for industrial customers in France and Europe, allowing us to play an active part in the reindustrialization project. » adds Bruce Xiste, President of Infraneo.
« With the acquisition of Technipipe, Infraneo has taken a decisive step forward in its ambition to become a European leader in infrastructure asset integrity. This move is fully in line with the roadmap we set together with the Management when we invested last July, and is a proof of our commitment to support an ambitious acquisition strategy for the group. » says Thomas Simon, Associé chez Seven2.
