Seven2 announces its investment in Olifan Group, a leading independent wealth management firm, to accelerate its growth, particularly through external expansion.

November 28, 2024

Paris, November 25, 2024 – Seven2 has announced the signing of an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Olifan Group, alongside its management team.

Founded in 2014, Olifan Group is the result of a gradual merger of 15 independent wealth management firms over the years. Each team has brought its expertise, thereby enhancing the quality of services and solutions offered to clients. Today, the group is composed of 150 employees, more than half of whom are shareholders. They operate across 16 offices nationwide, supporting over 10,000 clients over the long term.

Olifan Group is renowned for its high level of expertise in wealth management services – including expatriate and impatriate issues, as well as vulnerability – and for its diverse range of investment solutions, such as life insurance, private equity, structured products, and real estate.

With over €2 billion in assets under management, the group ranks among the top 15 wealth management specialists in France.

With the support of Seven2, Olifan Group’s management team, led by Hein Donders, aims to maintain organic growth momentum while accelerating its external growth strategy. This follows the announcement of four acquisitions this year: Verney, a firm located in Neuilly-sur-Seine, and three client portfolios in the Occitanie region.

Seven2 is investing in Olifan Group through its Apax Development Fund II (ADFII). This investment follows previous ones in the School of Arts and Diapason.

The transaction facilitates the exit of BlackFin Capital Partners, a minority shareholder in Olifan Group since 2021, and the reorganization of the company’s shareholding structure, while ensuring the continuity of the existing management team. Approximately 80 employees are making significant investments in this operation.

The transaction is subject to the approval of the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF).

“We are extremely grateful to BlackFin Capital Partners for their support over the past few years, which has enabled us to achieve key milestones in our development. Today, we begin a new chapter with Seven2, whose human values, expertise, and strategic ambitions align perfectly with our vision. This partnership will strengthen our position as an independent leader and allow us to continue our growth strategy, both organically and externally, with the goal of becoming a consolidating and indispensable player serving our wealth management clients,” emphasizes Hein Donders, President of Olifan Group.

“We are delighted to join Hein Donders and his teams in supporting their ambitious strategy of growth and consolidation, with the intention of leveraging our experience of buy-and-build theses and our knowledge of the financial services world, and in particular, wealth management. We are convinced that the group’s excellent reputation, high level of expertise, and strategic directions taken in recent years position it well to establish itself as a market consolidator,” state Isabelle Hermetet and Martin Bouilleux, Partner and Director at Seven2.

“We are very pleased to have supported Olifan Group in its development over the past four years. With strong support functions, a regional presence close to its clients, and an experienced management team, the group is well-positioned to benefit from the growth of the wealth management market and to play a role in its consolidation in the years to come. We wish them much success with Seven2,” says Bruno Rostain, Founding Partner at BlackFin Capital Partners.
