Paris and Munich, January 13, 2025 – Seven2, a leading private equity firm in Europe, announces the recruitment of a new Senior Principal and a Senior Associate for its Munich office to further strengthen its expertise in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
Led by Partner Florian Wolff and strengthened by new investors Daniel Wolfgarten and Maximilian Kern, the Seven2 German team enhance our support for mid-sized companies, across the DACH region, leveraging their combined expertise in investments, M&A, and deep market knowledge to drive sustainable growth opportunities.

Daniel and Maximilian bring extensive experience in investment, with a particular focus on LBO transactions across various sectors. Their arrival marks the beginning of a new phase in our European team structuring, aimed at expanding our investments in mid-sized companies. This team enhancement underscores our ambition to become a leading player in private equity in the DACH region and across continental Europe.
Daniel Wolfgarten joins Seven2 as Senior Principal in the Tech & Telecom team after working at Oakley Capital, where his focus as an investor has been on companies in the mid-market, primarily in the technology and consumer sectors.
Daniel began his career at Perella Weinberg Partners in 2015 where he worked in the industrials M&A team in London. He graduated from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.
Maximilian Kern joins Seven2 as a Senior Associate in the Services team.
Previously, he worked for 5 years at McKinsey & Company with affiliation to the Private Equity & Principal Investors practice. During this time, he mainly advised mid-market private equity firms in investment decisions and engaged with their portfolio companies along value creation programs.
Maximilian holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from TU Munich, an MPhil in Manufacturing & Management from the University of Cambridge, and an MSc in Finance from the Imperial College London.
