Eric Bompard is the must-have European retailer of cashmere for women, men and children.

The firm brings an exclusive sense of passion to a very special textile, cashmere. Every item produced by the company is made using the best fibres from the coat of the Capra Hisca, a goat which originates from the Gobi desert.

In addition to the special quality of this raw material, its Design Studio is involved in researching innovative yarn making. This is a rich, sweet legacy that Eric Bompard is proud to share since the company was founded in 1984.

Eric Bompard is now distributed internationally through its eCommerce website, as well as in France and Europe through its network of nearly 70 own operated stores. Eric Bompard is a cashmere institution.

Why did we invest?

Éric Bompard is a brand with a very strong reputation, recognised as the undisputed cashmere expert in France. Its network of directly operated shops in France and abroad, all of which are profitable, has proven the quality and solidity of its business model. The brand is also positioned in the “affordable luxury” segment, which has the highest growth rates in the clothing market.

How do we intend to create value?

The investment thesis is to accelerate the brand’s development by capitalising on its position as the undisputed cashmere expert and by activating three growth levers in particular: major work on the collection and an improvement in the customer experience, a strengthening of the Group’s international presence and, finally, major investments in digitalisation and the e-commerce channel.
