Founded in 1986 and headquartered near Paris, France, Graitec is a leading Software editor and Value Added Reseller (VAR) of solutions for the fast growing BIM market.
Graitec is a leading editor of proprietary software solutions for BIM professionals with recurring contracts for most of its clients. The company is also one of the largest VAR provider of Autodesk solutions in the world, with almost 300,000 subscribers worldwide.
Originally a pure software publisher, Graitec repositioned in 2013 following the sale of part of its software portfolio to Autodesk. It rapidly expanded through organic growth and bolt-on acquisitions. The company has now developed a complete proprietary software suite around 4 complementary lines (Create, Simulate, Fabricate, Manage).

Why did we invest?
Graitec has developed a unique positioning combining the development of its own software solutions together with value-added resell for Autodesk, the undisputed BIM leader worldwide. The company is a European platform on a growing and fragmented market with room to further consolidate. Graitec’s founder and its longstanding management team have a clear strategic vision to continue the strong growth of the group.
How do we intend to create value?
Graitec aims at becoming the leading European BIM player by leveraging its VAR business to accelerate roll out of its own solutions and by accelerating its international expansion both organically and through targeted acquisitions.
