Paul
Gaudry

Paul is Third Party Distribution Manager for the Apax by Seven2 label. He is part of the Investors Relations team.

Choosing private equity, choosing Seven2

Paul is passionate about entrepreneurship – he even founded a start-up when he was only 24 years old. So he likes financing the real economy through meaningful investments. But he not only likes supporting entrepreneurs financially: he also enjoys actively assisting them so that their plans succeed and fulfil their potential. For Paul, what private equity does above all is bring together different interests comprehensively.

Seven2 was an obvious choice for Paul: it is a close-knit firm with a human touch and an excellent reputation. He also admires the accomplishments of Seven2 and the impressive stories in entrepreneurship that the firm has helped write since it began. Paul thinks that French people have still not invested enough in private equity. So he is inspired by the initiative to launch the brand Apax by Seven2 and to create a team dedicated to supporting private clients and distributers.

What inspires Paul?

Paul loves sport. He is just as comfortable on a bicycle as he is on a pair of skis – whether on snow or water in the case of the latter. He also likes French cinema and can recite the lines of comedies by Patrice Leconte, Francis Veber and Thomas Gilou. To unwind, Paul enjoys playing the guitar or relaxing on the west coast of France with those who are dearest to him: his wife, his two daughters and his friends.

His studies helped him gain experience in family offices, wealth and investment management (mainly in private banking) and real estate in Brazil. Paul founded a start-up called Geekzie when he was 24 years old with the purpose of tackling the digital divide and forging ties between young and older generations. Later, in 2019, he joined the firm La Financière de l’Échiquier as head of investor relations for wealth management advisors and multi-family offices. Paul spent a short time as a structured products broker for a Franco-Swiss firm before joining the Investor Relations team at Seven2 in 2023.
