As a former startup founder and strategy consultant, Ugo was naturally drawn to private equity: he is passionate about identifying and supporting talented entrepreneurs to fulfil their vision across different businesses, industries and geographies.
At Seven2, Ugo found the perfect fit within the industry thanks to the firm’s strong team spirit and its investment strategy, which emphasizes vertical specialization and a pan-European perspective – including Italy, his home country.
What inspires Ugo?
A former professional basketball player, Ugo enjoys maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle and practices a variety of sports, including running, tennis, skiing, and surfing. He is also an avid music lover and an amateur piano player.
Ugo also draws energy from connecting with people – whether catching up with friends in Paris or making new encounters while traveling abroad, he gets fueled up by expanding his cultural horizons, collecting new personal stories, and immersing himself in foreign cultures and languages.

Education and experience
Ugo graduated from Bocconi University (Bachelor’s) before completing the X-HEC Double Degree in Management and Entrepreneurship (Master’s). He enriched his academic journey with several internships in strategy consulting and M&A, including at Cross Border in Milan and Roland Berger in Dubai.
He then co-founded “Chiengora by YarnSustain”, a startup in the sustainable textile space. As Co-Founder and CEO, he built the company’s operations and go-to market, secured incubation at Station F (Paris) and BHeroes (Milan) and raised a seed round led by Good Brands alongside angel investors.
Ugo later joined McKinsey & Company in Paris as a Strategy Consultant, working with major clients across different industries and European countries, focusing on revenue growth, M&A and business building.
Ugo joined Seven2 in 2026 as an Associate in the MidMarket Tech Team.
